Nature of Practice

Jeffrey Wulkan is "Of Counsel" to the Law Firm of Mirman, Bubman & , in Woodland Hills, California. For more than thirty years, Mr. Wulkan has concentrated his practice in debtor-creditor relations, real property transactions and litigation, business litigation, commercial litigation, including receiverships and bankruptcy trustee representation, and business formation and governance, including employment law. He is a 1978 graduate of Southwestern University School of Law. His emphasis has been on the following types of matters:

  • Litigation
    State Court and Bankruptcy Court litigation relating to real property leases, construction contracts, lis pendens, quiet title and partitions, negotiable instruments, use and sales tax, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, UCC leases, fair value and deficiency determinations after foreclosure, breaches of notes and contracts, and mechanic’s lien foreclosure and stop notice enforcement. Representation of and obtaining receivers. Pre-judgment remedies, including attachments, claim and delivery, and injunctive relief. Post-judgment remedies, including creditor suits, assignment orders, charging orders, execution sales.
  • Real Estate
    Purchase and Sale negotiations and documentation. Commercial leasing. Title review. Representation of general and subcontractors.
  • Bankruptcy
    Representation of creditors in non-dischargeability actions, calculation of breach of lease damages, administrative claims, preference actions, relief from stay.
  • Business Formations and Governance
    Forming for profit and non-profit corporations, limited liability companies, joint ventures. Counseling business entities, including winding up and dissolution, intra-state stock and membership transactions, opinions re qualification and exemption. Employment counseling, including wage and hour law, independent contractor v. employee, termination, WARN, FEHA, unemployment, ADA, workplace safety, and Family Leave.
